Start the New Year in 2017 by applying to this exciting bespoke opportunity to work on new product developments as part of an innovative partnership between two high growth manufacturing companies based in Manchester and South Lancashire to include the development of manufacturing materials and processes and also existing formulations used in the various manufacturing processes.
The two partner companies are keen to appoint a Development Chemist who, by working alongside both partners, will be responsible for developing new formulations to be used in the manufacture of new products and the selected candidate will also look at the development formulations already being manufactured for existing product ranges. To that end, the chosen candidate will work closely with chemists, engineers and designers to gain an understanding of current manufacturing techniques in order to assist in the development of new materials and manufacturing machinery/technologies.
An important aspect of the role under the supervision of the current Lab Manager, will be to evaluate alternative technologies / raw materials, material costings, manufacturing costings, product tests, to maintain a path of continuous development,
Initially, working weeks will be split between the two manufacturing facilities with full use of both partner company’s laboratories and facilities.
The starting salary reflects the initial upfront training provided and there is a travel allowance provided for site visits for car owners.
