Our client is an industry leading renewable energy company, backed by a global corporate, and have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Designer. You will be responsible for successfully overseeing quality installations of their range of products and services including; electric vehicle charging equipment, solar PV and battery storage solutions.

Reporting to their Head of Internal Operations, you’ll work with their existing operations team to manage the delivery of their industry leading technologies. You will have the exciting task of surveying sites throughout the UK to create a detailed installation proposal, with projects ranging in value from £10,000 - £1 million+. Your focus areas will be; Conducting onsite technical surveys, producing detailed design packs and quotations as well as providing support to both the Sales and Project Delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out technical surveys on proposed installation locations
- Detailed Electrical design in line with regulations
- Civil work design in line with regulations
- Creation of detailed design pack for installation crews
- Creation of detailed bill of quantities
- Installation pricing
- Responsible for producing drawing packages including panel design and control circuitry ensuring compliance in the development of assigned projects with all relevant specifications, standards and safety regulations
- Technical support for installation crews
- Assisting Sales Staff in the preliminary design / determination of projects at Tender stage

Key Skills
- Electrical design background
- Experience in the design and installation of electric vehicle charging equipment, solar PV and or/Battery (desirable)
- Electrical qualifications such as; 18th Edition, 2391/2394/2395/2396 City & Guilds or similar (desirable)
- Civils experience (preferred)
- Excellent computer and literacy skills
- Full UK driving license

- People Manager: you must be a motivator and maintain a positive, can-do attitude
- Decision maker: must be comfortable assessing situations and making decisions quickly
- The candidate must be dynamic, driven with an attention to detail

You will be home based and must be able to travel to undertake technical surveys around the UK as required. They operate from Leeds, occasional office visits will be required.
