This company is a unique electronic product design business specialising in design, software, prototype and production. They work with a wide range of customers ranging from local inventors and entrepreneurs, to SME’s, academic institutions and international corporations.
They are looking for a fastidious, experienced and knowledgeable Design Engineer to join their busy Design Department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating innovative and robust products to satisfy our customers’ requirements, across a wide range of industry sectors.
You’ll work closely with a strong team of hardware and software engineers to deliver multiple projects on time, on budget and in line with their IOS 9001-2015 Quality Management Systems.
You’ll also provide support to their Junior Engineers and Interns to share knowledge, experience and best practices.
The successful candidate will have completed a relevant degree level course and have a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
Skills and Experience:
- Electronic digital hardware design: ARM, microcontroller circuits
- Electronic analogue design: opamps, filters, FET circuits
- Power supply design e.g. SMPS
- Schematic entry (Altium preferred)
- Basic soldering skills
Additional skills that would be useful but not essential:
- PCB layout (Altium preferred)
- RF design
- FPGA design
- Software design e.g. flowcharts, UML
- Software coding e.g. ‘C’, RTOS, Linux
- Version control systems
Salary & Benefits:
