As a member of the Design team you will provide bespoke system design for non-standard applications based on the company standard product range.
Principal Accountabilities
- Ensuring business growth through design.
- Daily liaison with internal and external customers
- Daily liaison with manufacturing to ensure systems are designed for manufacture and to resolve assembly issues
- Assisting the Technical department with special systems enquiries
- Creation of 3D models of bought in items from supplier datasheets.
- Modification of existing system/vessel designs to suit customer specifications
- Design of bespoke complex systems to suit customer specifications
- Ensuring all relevant standards, specifications and design codes are followed
Skills, knowledge and experience
It is essential that you are qualified to HNC level or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline, as well as having business/industry experience.
You must have good attention to detail, good organisation skills, be CAD literate and be competent in the use of Microsoft Office, as well has having at least one year of relevant work experience
It would be desirable, but not essential to have experience of Solid Edge, have commercial awareness and knowledge of pressure equipment directive
