This role will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the Service Centre/ Depot.

Key responsibilities:
- Management and authorisation of attendance including timesheets, working time directive adherence, overtime, holidays, sickness and any other absences
- Management of health, safety and environmental issues including good housekeeping within the Service Centre
- Ensuring all Service Centre plant tooling, lifting and measuring equipment is maintained, calibrated and inspected according to appropriate procedures
- Deal with customer queries effectively and efficiently
- Use data and resource planning systems to manage service scheduling, including the allocation of work based on agreed standard times
-Responsible for all aspects of people management and development within the service centre team
- Identification of labour shortfalls/ recruitment for the depot
- Monitor training and development needs of service engineers (appraisals) Conducting regular team briefings and ensuring effective internal communications

Service focal point for Sales team within geographic area
- Sourcing equipment for customer needs within the area
- Job-to-job discussions with logistics for freight needs
- Arranging swap outs for breakdowns

Key requirements:

Previous experience working in a similar role
- NVQ Level 3 or Modern Apprenticeship in an Engineering Discipline, or equivalent
- Possesses and has demonstrated excellent people management skills
- Good communicator, verbally and written. Able to communicate effectively at different organisational levels
- Must be a change manager and capable of creating buy-in to lead a team to work in different and improved ways
- A good listener, with the ability to hear and accept good ideas and bring them to fruition
- Understanding of how to manage QHSE systems
- IT skills including the ability to analyse data using available software (e.g. Excel)
Management of a team with ability to deliver high levels of performance in a high pressure, reactive environment

- Must hold a full valid driving licence
