This company based in Marden is an internationally operating specialist for vehicle parts in the independent aftermarket.

They have an exciting opportunity for experienced Demand Planner (merchandiser) to join their expanding global company working in their Supply Chain & Inventory Management department. This company is an automotive parts specialist operating in the independent aftermarket. They distribute products to more than 140 countries around the world. You will be responsible for the forecast and ordering of product group responsibilities, to drive continuous improvement against company set targets (customer availability, forecast accuracy, stock targets)

The Main Purpose of the job and duties performed Include:
- Responsible for creating and maintaining system generated forecasts for a defined area of responsibility, completing analysis of sales history, promotional, seasonal and forthcoming activities to generate orders to meet demand.
- Reviewing sale exceptions to improve future forecasts and stock performance.
- Identify product or supplier trends causing stock and availability not to meet KPIs, make recommendations to stock and/or ordering parameters to improve availability.
- Manage replenishment orders within given parameters, reporting any exceptions which impact on availability and/or stock performance
- Monitoring of availability at product and part number level, taking appropriate action to remain within KPIs
- Proactively build relationships with relevant vendors and departments, working collaboratively with them to improve availability and stock performance of the brands.
- Manage the introduction of new product, validating the forecast supplied, feedback on the success of a new line and make recommendations as appropriate.
- Support projects within Supply Chain/Demand Planning and around the business and provide recommendations on stock and availability to meet the needs to the project / business.

If you have experience in a purchasing/supply chain/logistics role together with the following experience, we would welcome hearing from you:

- Experience of working with suppliers from multiple countries
- Confidence to communicate and deal with all levels within the business
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Excellent organisational skills, ability to work to tight deadlines
- Analytical skills and a Microsoft Excel experience to advanced level
- Experience of a demand planning system and SAP would be advantageous
