The company undertakes highly sensitive government assignments. They are engaged in a large-scale digital archive project.

Individuals applying for this role will be subject to very stringent security vetting clearance.

The role is within a small team of highly skilled IT technicians with excellent hardware and software expertise.

Use mature programming skills to support the operational activities associated with delivering a large-scale digital archive. This will include:
Supporting the existing technical team with ongoing development of the existing applications which include record extraction tools, search tools, case management tools and asset tracking tools.

Supporting the extraction, transformation and loading of records onto the digital archive by developing tools to access target user data, extracting user data, transforming the data as necessary, and loading it onto the archive for preservation.

- Work with MySQL and Java to
o support existing search functions.
o support existing file upload and indexing functions.
o develop new search functions.
o develop new file upload and indexing functions.
- Use Java Enterprise Edition with Java Persistence API, Enterprise Java Beans and JAX-RS to maintain and develop web services.
- Work with dtSearch engine for Linux.
- Design, implement and/or operate bespoke software tools to extract, transform and load data.

Experience with Netbeans and Java Enterprise Edition servlet containers and application servers such as Tomcat and Wildfly.
