This company is an established digital video games e-commerce operation. Every day thousands of gamers trust them with their game purchases and since launching in November 2012, they have sold over 45 million games in over 200 countries. This is a division of a highly successful and ambitious business with a 22-year track record of profitability.

To continue their growth trajectory, they now wish to employ a dynamic, inquisitive and passionate Data Analyst; working in the Business Intelligence Team, the successful candidate will help make sure every decision at the division is data driven. The opportunity to spot trends over millions of users and thousands of products and make recommendations to the licensing, marketing and store teams accordingly will be an integral element of the job.

The role will encompass building and managing the complete data pipeline, from extraction, all the way to building reports and self-service dashboards. When presented with a problem, the incumbent will be quick to establish the work required to solve it and the potential value of results to the business. If a problem is spotted, then being happy to engage with the stakeholders to establish whether better reporting or analytics can fix it will be key.

Responsibilities
- Provide insight, information and reporting across the division
- Understand what data may be of use to the business
- Design logical table structures to store data in Redshift
- Build and maintain ETL pipelines to extract data from a range of external and internal sources
- Use a wealth of data to predict and explain product performance
- Expose customer trends and values
- Confidence in technical skills to help across the business using a wide range of tools

General Skills

Technical Skills – Must have
- Experience using SQL for multi-table queries
- Comfortable in at least one programming language (Python, JavaScript etc.)

Technical Skills – Nice to have
- Proficient in Python
- Ability to apply statistical testing to real world data
- Experience of using Amazon Web Services
