This international company develops, makes and markets professional tooling solutions for technicians all over the world.
They require a professional, dedicated and team-orientated person to work as part of their extremely busy IT Team. The successful candidate will report into the Business Integration Supervisor and will be responsible for providing guidance and technical expertise on software to end users of computers and computerised equipment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining database tools, as well as coordinating the maintenance and upgrades to in-house MS Access applications used by the Customer Service Department. Additionally, they will be required to develop MS Access queries to interrogate ERP data for investigation and improvement solutions. They will be responsible for managing and manipulating data, as well as ascertaining and documenting user requirements.
They will be responsible for coordinating all system implementations and using RCI to develop automated solutions to improve productivity as assigned by management. As well as developing solutions for automation of manual processes through the use of MS SQL and VB Tools. The role may require the incumbent to perform other duties to ensure the efficient running of their department or area.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate expertise in Access, Excel, MS SQL and VBA. Experience in Tableau is desirable, but not essential. They should be able to prioritise work, complete deadlines and use initiative in a variety of situations. They should possess strong computer troubleshooting skills, and due to the nature of the position be a good oral and written communicator.
Although not a necessity, it would be helpful if they held a degree with a Major in Information Systems or a related technical field or equivalent systems experience.
