Job Description:
- Answering high volume incoming calls and dealing with customer queries
- Providing advice and guidance on shipping regulations and restrictions
- Tracking and monitoring shipments in transit
- Assisting customers with booking their shipments online
- Dealing with transit issues and delay, including failed collections
- Resolving delivery issues on our customer’s behalf
- Liaising with Customs Authorities in other countries when needed
- Building relationships with new and existing clients
- Dealing with customer complaints, and resolving them over the phone

You will be responsible for assisting customers with their bookings, tracking parcels that are in transit, resolving failed collections and delays, and pro-actively following through on ‘exception shipments’ until their conclusion. The job is essentially about problem solving, and deciding on the best course of action to resolve each delay as quickly as possible, whilst keeping all parties informed.

This is an exciting and challenging position, the successful candidate will relish the large amounts of responsibility placed with them. The successful candidate will enjoy the challenge of working to deadlines, in a sometimes demanding environment, that forces you to multi-task.

Applicant criteria:
- 3 years’ customer services experience
- A minimum typing speed of 45 wpm is required
- Excellent communication skills are a must, both written and verbal
- Goods levels of diplomacy, when dealing with customer queries, are essential
- Ability to multi-task is a must, as is the ability to think on your feet
- Call centre experience will be an advantage
- Experience of dealing with consumer complaints is desirable
