About us
We deliver the trade support services for the Department for International Trade in the East of England and are a subsidiary of one of the UK’s foremost business support organisations with nearly 200 employees across a number of locations.

About the role
You will be the first point of customer service contact for businesses looking to grow in international markets.

You will answer incoming calls and emails from customers and partners, dealing with the issues and returning the call where answers/information need to be researched.

You will gain understanding of client needs through a preliminary analysis of the information and development needs they have and then provide the appropriate information, guidance or templates.

You will provide administrative support to the trade team, comprehensive customer follow up and feedback service.

You will accurately maintain client engagement records and ensure that all customer information required is captured and recorded

About you
You enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues and are a clear communicator - in person, on the phone and in writing.

You easily build rapport with customers and are able to develop trusting relationships with clients and colleagues.

You have previous experience in a busy work environment involving one or more of the following: sales, call centre, customer service, customer and/or public telephone contact, or similar.

You are experienced in using ICT/CRM systems (such as Word, Excel, Outlook and Windows Explorer) data entry and ideally recording of customer details and activities.

You have an understanding of some of the challenges and issues facing potential, new and experienced exporters and small businesses.

You are aware of some aspects of business support available from local, regional and national business support providers.

What we offer
As well as a competitive salary of up to £22,279, we offer a generous 10.5% non-contributory pension scheme, life assurance and ill-health income protection insurance, 26 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, free onsite parking, a flexible and supportive working culture, personal development opportunities, and a range of flexible benefits including flexi-pension, holiday-buy scheme, Uno buses discount, discounted gym membership and a cycle-to-work scheme, to name just a few.

The fine print.
Please note this role is subject to mandatory Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) pre-employment screening comprising verification of identity, nationality and immigration status, confirmation of 3 years minimum employment history and/or other activity, and third-party verification of unspent convictions.

Please note you must be eligible to work in the UK to apply for this role.
