Their 2,000+ associates work globally to support our demanding clients, in areas such as market and competitive intelligence, discovery, legal process outsourcing (LPO), operating model transformation and back office redesign. They also excel in business support services such as IT, document processing, human resources and finance.

They are hiring for a Credit Manager for their progressive & forward thinking client in Sheffield.

Position Objective

The Credit Manager will head up the CMS Credit Control service.

- Manage the Credit Control activities in London, Bristol, Edinburgh and Sheffield.
- Manage the Recoveries function comprising a Recoveries Manager and 2 Delinquent Debt administrators.
- Using D&B to set credit limits based on D&B ratings.
- To monitor clients with debt above (to be advised) for changes in credit rating (positive and negative).
- Implement key debt management KPIs and publish monthly.
- Alerting CRPs where a client’s credit rating deteriorates and reduces their creditworthiness/suggested credit limit below their current indebtedness.
- Monitor the payment timeliness of clients and identify/rank poor payers and agree strategies for improving their payment performance/compliance with agreed credit terms.
- Overseeing the debt recovery process including dealing with contentious litigation matters and clients in liquidation.
- Monthly review of high risk accounts.
- Produce regular, timely and incisive reports.
- Identifying new targets for the team to work towards which reflects the organisation’s new objectives.
- The ability to quickly spot key trends and/or delays to payment across the business and react accordingly.
- Coach and develop team leaders and take responsibility for their personal development.
- Strive to hit targets and improve the value of aged debt.
- Attend regular debtor reviews and manage actions to drive solutions.

Personal Success Characteristics

The Credit Manager will possess a strong Credit Control background and understanding of the activities process.
- Excellent communication skills, change management skills and excellent stakeholder management skills, ideally from within a professional services environment.
- Proven ability to manage a Credit Control process.
- Effectively manage the Recoveries function and drive down aged debt.
- Able to interact and influence internal stakeholders.
- The ability to manage staff in multiple locations.
- Provide accurate and timely advice to colleagues.
- Ensuring all deadlines are met and in accordance with department procedures and client service level agreements.
- Strong IT skills
