This independent telecoms company was incorporated from a home office by their Managing Director at the age of just 25. They have grown now to a team of 29 over 3 floors with a combined telecoms experience in excess of 100 years. They are seeking a part-time Finance Administrator to join their small but friendly finance team. You will be reporting directly to the Finance Manager.

Duties and responsibilities:

Credit Control:
- Contact customers regarding all unpaid items, following up communications frequently
- Anticipate developments and identify accounts that require special attention and act decisively to resolve difficulties, consulting management where appropriate
- Monitor daily all incoming correspondence, ensuring that customer queries are resolved promptly and accurately
- Maintain company procedures through emails, post and telephone
- Adhere to deadlines for month end and reporting
- Liaise with debt Collector

Finance Administration:
- Batching and coding of all company sales and purchase invoices on Xero, ensuring an accurate record of the Sales and Purchase Ledgers.
- Reconciling customer and supplier statements
- Raising and re-issuing of invoices and credits
- Investigating and resolving queries with customers and suppliers
- General Accounts administration and Ad Hoc projects for Finance Manager

Skills and experience required:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a similar role
- Good working knowledge of Xero
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong work ethic
- Experience or keen interest in accounts / finance & credit control
- Strong communication skills and clear and professional telephone manner
- Positive can do attitude
- Someone open to learning new skills
- Dynamic and fun personality who can come up with new ideas
- Hardworking and able to work as part of a busy team

Hours:
- 9:30am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday (25 hours per week)

Salary and benefits:
- Up to £18,000 dependent upon experience (pro-rata)
- 21 days annual holiday + 8 bank holidays
- Pension with Employer contributions
