The Position:
They now have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Creative Copywriter who will have the opportunity to work in an award-winning and highly customer-centric business in the heart of York’s city centre. The role will support in the delivery of all the company’s offline and online content requirements.

Main duties:
Create and deliver highly engaging copy and content for all company brands and be passionate about creating copy that communicates the brands’ values and informs people about the tours and products.

Responsibilities:
- To work continuously towards becoming a geographical expert
- Awareness and research into possible content creation
- Personal time and workload management
- Initiating content creation and maintenance
- Investigating errors or inaccuracies in source information
- To deliver high quality copy for brochures, customer communications, adverts, emails, blogs, trade copy, advertorials and online content
- Creatively marketing tours as briefed by Product Managers
- Proofreading all externally-facing copy
- Updating content in line with PCFs
- To use Adobe InCopy software, working with studio designers to make sure images/design and copy complement each other
- To respond and contribute to copy briefs
- To be flexible during the working day and adapting to business requirements
- To work to, and help maintain, the content guidelines
- To contribute to the development of the content team’s creative control

Competencies and Skills:
- Proven, effective copywriting abilities
- Educated to undergraduate degree level – English language/literature or creative writing preferred but not essential
- A high level of English language skills and a wide, varied vocabulary
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experience of proofreading and being influential through the written word
- Good communication skills
- Confident and assertive
- Happy working in a fast moving, changing and deadline driven environment
- Able to maintain quality standards when under pressure
- Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritise work effectively in line with production schedules
- Proven research skills with a strong sense of curiosity relating to world destinations
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365
- Enthusiastic and energetic, self-motivated with the drive to develop existing skills
- Approachable, and a committed team player

- A high level of professionalism at all times and a good level of commercial awareness
- Experience/interest in travel and travel writing
