The Position:

They now have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Creative Copywriter to join their Marketing team. The successful candidate will join the UK’s market leading tour operator of escorted holidays by rail and will work in a growing and highly customer centric business in the heart of York’s city centre.

Some of the activities that you will be responsible for are:

- From Product Manager briefs and / or existing tour content, write engaging, accurate and factually correct product copy and content for use on offline and online communication.
- For new tours, research the destination, attractions, accommodation and travel options based on the itinerary brief or copy brief supplied
- To deliver the work to agreed deadlines and quality
- Manage your own personal time and workload, to meet tight deadlines that may be subject to urgent or last-minute changes
- To support the Senior Content Executive with the delivery of copy and content for;
- Main brochures, Brochure updates, Supplements and other direct marketing propositions
- Offline marketing communications (including trade)
- Press adverts & advertorials
- Itineraries & holiday guides
- Online content creation and system loading
- Proof reading all externally facing copy
- Initiatively thinking about content creation and maintenance, paying particular attention to accuracy and consistency

The successful Creative Copywriter should possess the following skills and experience:

- Educated to undergraduate degree level – English language/literature or creative writing preferred but not essential
- A high level of English language skills and a wide, varied vocabulary
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experience of proofreading and being influential through the written word
- Good verbal communication skills
- Confident and assertive, able to defend your position to managers and colleagues
- Happy working in a fast moving, changing and deadline driven environment
- Able to maintain quality standards when under pressure
- Good organizational skills and able to prioritise work effectively in line with production schedules
- Proven research skills coupled with a strong sense of curiosity relating to world destinations
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
