This company is the largest supplier to the UK’s jewellery industry, offering customers over 16,000 products in various precious metals including silver, gold, palladium and platinum.

They require a Cost Analyst/Costing Coordinator to join a small team who support the costing and pricing data of the business, this enables them to protect the businesses profitability and profit margin.

The main duties will include:

- Maintaining and reviewing product costs to ensure working losses, carriage charges, suppliers’ costs and other surcharges are part of the standard cost calculation of their products.
- Manual manipulation of system data to produce and prepare reports analysing margin performance and highlighting areas of concern on the protection and profitability of margin.
- Liaising closely with the Supply Chain and Product Development Teams to maintain accurate and up to date product and pricing information.
- Challenge current standard costs with Supply Chain, Sales and Product Development and where necessary revise calculations to take account of process and supplier charges.
- Support monthly and annual 'added value stock valuations'.
- Various other daily tasks to service the requirements of the business including product code creation and pricing.

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interrogate and interpret numbers and costing data.
- Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel with the ability to set up and manipulate Pivot Tables and Formula Calculations.
- Highly organised and flexible with excellent communication skills and ability to quickly learn new skills.
- It would be advantageous to have previous experience of calculating standard costs.
- Though not essential it would be desirable to be working towards or have a desire to becoming AAT qualified / Foundation level CIMA qualified.

Hours of work:
Total 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
