Location: Home based, within 1 hour’s travel time to London. Option to work from their offices in Market Harborough if preferred.

Salary - £28,000 - £32,000 + pension, phone and laptop.

They are a highly successful, well respected and growing team specialising in R&D Tax Relief, Video Games Tax Relief and Grant Bid Writing. Their cross-disciplinary team of Accountants, Tax Specialists and Technical Experts is disrupting the traditional tax consultancy market. In Q4 of 2017 they launched their website which is the UK’s leading online assisted R&D Tax Relief claims portal. If that sounds exciting, they want to hear from you.

Due to sustained growth they are now seeking a confident, self-motivated Corporate Tax Associate to join their expanding team.

For the role of Corporate Tax Associate, they are offering a salary of £28,000 - £32,000 in what will be a varied and interesting role.

Key Responsibilities

- Work alongside the Technical Consulting team to provide specialist tax and related accounting services to clients. This includes the completion of financial schedules, grant applications (finance sections and forms), Company Tax Returns (CT600) and tax computations.
- Liaise with clients and other stakeholders, including HMRC, to ensure tax claims are processed efficiently and questions and enquiries are answered promptly.
- Help develop current and new specialist tax services by researching, process mapping, template building and developing guidance documentation.
- Be an ambassador for the business and to ensure the ethos of ‘delivering excellence’ is upheld and maintained at all times. This will include ensuring that all interactions and services performed for the client are deemed clear, simple, smooth and timely.
- Be actively involved in internal projects as and when requested.

Experience & Skills Required

Candidates for the role of Corporate Tax Associate must be confident, self-motivated, accounting or tax professionals with at least 2 years’ experience in general tax compliance or tax planning matters. Candidates must also be:

- Full or Part Qualified with a recognised tax or accounting body.
- Highly presentable, personable, a strong communicator, and comfortable meeting clients at senior executive level.
- Able to manage and prioritise multiple client claims.
- Highly competent with Microsoft Excel, including proficient use of pivot tables and other data tools.
- Experience with specialist tax incentives such as R&D Tax Relief, Video Games Tax Relief, Research and Development Allowances is preferred, but not essential.
- Willingness to travel to client meetings, which can be anywhere within the UK, including frequent visits in London.
