Remote / Home working available and encouraged. It is advantageous to be able to commute to London on occasion, but this is not essential. The role would suit someone wanting to supplement an existing job, avoid a commute or scale back from a full-time role.

A professional services firm are looking for an experienced corporate lawyer or company secretary to work within a dynamic and supportive team. The role is a broad one and would be suitable for a chartered secretary or a corporate lawyer with a broad range of experience.

The candidate should have the desire and drive to take responsibility for managing some of their clients, growing the business and offering pragmatic and commercial advice.

The role is initially a part time role (Circa 3-4 days per week) but with the option of expanding into a full time role if desired . The role would be suitable for a mid level associate or someone with the capability and experience to take on a Partnership type role in the medium term.

The role will include the following:
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with a variety of clients.
- Attending board meetings, taking minutes and advising on corporate governance.
- Advising a portfolio of clients on corporate legal, company secretarial compliance and governance matters.
- Drafting associated documents and may include drafting of more legal documentation
- Updating and managing the Blueprint records for clients, including dealing with share allotments/transfer and changes to officers, annual returns etc
- Supporting clients with special projects (e.g. corporate transactions, share reorganisations).
- Dealing with KYC requirements.
- Pro-actively identifying new business opportunities from existing client portfolio or contact base.
- Keeping up to date with legislative changes and best practice.

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes (although candidates meeting only some of the following criteria will be considered):

- a chartered secretary (part qualified will be considered) or a qualified corporate lawyer;
- at least four years working in a professional services firm;
- excellent knowledge of the Companies Act 2006;
- experience with managing and operating Blueprint;
- experience working within or for publicly listed clients (preferred but not essential);
- excellent inter-personal skills and a customer driven attitude;
- ability to work without close supervision or management;
- flexible and adaptive approach to work;
- legal drafting experience would be helpful but not required.

Salary will be in the range of £25-35 per hour, plus commission. This is the equivalent to approximately £40,000 - £56,000 for a full time role.
