We're sorry, you can no longer apply for this job.

This is an opportunity for a paralegal to join the Residential Conveyancing Department of a highly regarded law firm based in Reading.

Their New Homes team provides a tailored service for a wide range of developer clients from national housebuilders and joint venture partners to local smaller scale developers and first time developers. Joining the team as a Plot Sales Executive, you’ll assist with the legal work involved in sales of new-build and property conversions of houses and flats, sold off plan or already built, freehold and leasehold, under a variety of options for purchasing including out-right sale, part-exchange and government incentive schemes.

The work is varied and stimulating, but it is also busy and challenging. You will need to be extremely organised and comfortable having direct contact with clients and purchasers’ legal representatives. You will be expected to manage your own caseload under the supervision of their Head of New Homes. Not all transactions run entirely smoothly and a good degree of resilience and composure is required to provide a high-quality and professional service at all times. But you won’t be doing this alone: you’ll be part of a small, friendly team and valued for your individual contribution with support to develop your skills and experience.

The firm itself has been established for over 30 years and has grown to around 120 people. It is particularly strong in various aspects of property work, for which they have many recommendations in the major legal directories. They have been accredited by Lexcel since 2001 and in 2018 they were awarded a Silver Investors in People accreditation. They pride themselves on their ability to build lasting relationships with their clients and colleagues alike, making it a great place to develop your legal career.

If you have worked in a similar plot sales/new homes conveyancing role before they would particularly love to hear from you. If not, they expect you will already have at least 6 months of wider conveyancing / property experience as a paralegal or trainee legal executive but they will also consider LPC graduates with other strong paralegal experience and a genuine, demonstrable interest in conveyancing as a career.

To apply for the role, please provide a detailed CV.
