This company is a manufacturer/installer of commercial and industrial roller security products and doors.
They are seeking a Contracts Manager with industry relevant experience to work within their Basildon Branch.

Reporting to the Operations Director.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Responsible for managing site-based activities to ensure that confirmed sales contracts are delivered on time, to the required standards within budget, whilst maximising client satisfaction.
- Managing daily operations of local contracts, planning the use of materials and human resources. Arrange labour, materials and plant in preparation for commencement on site.
- Attend pre start meetings to ensure all necessary installation/construction issues are addressed prior to commencement on site. Visit site to familiarise with site environment, restrictions/ H & S etc. Agree job programmes with Site Managers and monitor progress. -
- Communicate programme and subsequent changes to all affected parties. Intervene and agree action plans to recover delays where possible. Ensure timely request for and delivery of all information that is on the programme critical path. Identify variations to contract that will impact on the programme and ensure programme is revised to accommodate them.
- Management of direct Labour including where necessary external resources to ensure contracts/jobs are completed to the required client timescale maintaining compliance with all quality and safety requirements. Record by letter/email any delay caused by a client/main-contractor.
- Ensure internal/external procurement of product are ordered in-conjunction with the programme specifying where necessary critical delivery deadlines.
- Maintain close contact with client/main contractor to ensure handover before and during the remedial period are dealt with swiftly, proactively problem solving.
- Direct and coordinate contracts financial and budget activities to increase efficiency and profit margins. Ensure all Value/Cost is captured Inc Variations obtaining written agreements.
- To ensure all internal and external KPI results meet agreed targets. Ensuring that adequate resource and skills are deployed to ensure the programme of work is fulfilled economically and efficiently.
- Personnel/manage staff, preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties. Provide recommendations for installation staff training.

Skills and Experience:

- Relevant knowledge within the door industry is essential.
- Excellent planning, organisation and analytical skills.
- Site Health and Safety experience preferred.
