This charity believes that no one who has served their country should have to battle blindness alone. They offer blind veterans access to the highest quality of services to help them discover life beyond sight loss.
They are looking for a skilled and experienced individual to provide on-going assessment and support to their beneficiaries in their homes and communities. This includes assessing their need for advice and information, rehabilitation and training, care support and financial assistance. Their aim is to work in conjunction with statutory and voluntary agencies to help their service users maximise their independence.
They are looking for a committed, resourceful individual who will follow a rigorous case management process and adhere to safeguarding and risk management procedures keeping a positive attitude and demonstrating a collaborative, resourceful and confidential approach.
The ideal applicant will have excellent organisational and communication skills, ability to work autonomously, experience of maintaining paper and electronic records and have a good understanding of how to maintain appropriate relationships with service users. Effective IT skills are essential including a good working knowledge of the MS Office suite and experience of using databases.
