Do you have a passion for people and a positive attitude? They are looking for a self-motivated, creative and enthusiastic Community Fundraiser to join their high-achieving and dynamic Fundraising team.

You will be involved with a range of events, activities and campaigns, including, but not limited to; the Garden Party at Ashridge House, golf days, Give Up to Give Back campaign and an Ambassador programme.

You will be a confident communicator and enjoy meeting new people; building awareness and strong relationships with the community via a range of groups including; schools, sports clubs, Rotaries and faith groups.

You will be able to inspire these varied supporters to engage with us and raise funds for The Hospice. You will deliver an exceptional experience to our supporters to facilitate positive, long-term relationships and recurring fundraising activities.

You will have excellent organisational skills and must be able to work independently and as part of a team, managing your own time and several projects simultaneously. You will have solid IT skills; well versed in Microsoft Office and database experience.

You will have some experience of managing budgets and be target driven; always looking to exceed income raised for the Hospice.

- Excellent written skills, including business plans, timelines and marketing plans
- Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
- The ability to form effective relationships with people from all walks of life
- Highly organised
- Exceptional project management skills
- Capable of managing multiple projects at the same time, on time, within budget and to agreed health and safety constraints
- Physically fit – heavy manual work at events, loading, setting up, long periods spent walking and standing
- To be adaptable to working in a wide range of environments, for extended periods; setting up and running events in all weather conditions
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team
- Experience of setting and managing budgets
- IT literate and fully conversant with MS Office packages
- Numerical fluency to identify and proactively address unwanted variation, trends and key performance information
- Commitment to the aims and ethos of the Hospice
- Continually strive to improve the business
- Development of others to succeed
- Keen to develop self within role
