This Bidford-on-Avon based firm of solicitors is looking to recruit a Commercial property Solicitor.

Founded more than 30 years ago, they are a firm dealing with business and private clients mainly in the areas of commercial property, commercial, wills and probate, and conveyancing. They believe in a friendly personal service and getting the job done quickly, efficiently and pragmatically.

The role:
The primary role of the post-holder is to assist the Senior Partner and assume responsibility for his/her own workload. The work will involve providing expert company/commercial/commercial property services and developing those and other areas of the practice. Excellent career prospects in this growing business.

Candidate:
- The successful candidate will preferably be a qualified lawyer with at least 2/3 years’ pqe
- Self-motivated, needing low-level supervision in the performance of day to day responsibilities
- Clear, accurate and concise file maintenance/record keeping
- Strong, logical and pragmatic-thinking
- They will have a good understanding of the client needs with sound commercial and legal advice
- Excellent client care, communication and legal skills are essential
- They will also have the ability to handle a diverse caseload professionally and competently in other areas of law if necessary

Job Description

Fee-Earning:
- To manage client work in all areas of company, commercial and commercial property practice and assist in other areas when required
- Ensure that all clients work is progressed expeditiously and monitor progress and costs in a commercial and businesslike manner
- Exercise at all times high standard of client care
- Ensure client confidentiality and security of the firm’s reputation
- Achieve agreed financial targets and exceed them where possible
- Comply with the Solicitors Accounts Rules; the SRA Code of conduct
- Maintain clear and precise communications with other staff and ensure professional working relationships with staff and external institutions
- Take responsibility for and attend to self-development through training and other means to keep fully up to date with relevant training required by the SRA and to assist with in-house training

Marketing:
- To be proactive and innovative in promoting the firm’s services and to actively seek ways to contribute to the continuing evolution of the business.
- Seek and attend, or arrange promotional and /or networking for the firm.

Management:
- Provide advice, guidance and competently manage administrative staff in the department
- Monitor and develop systems and procedures in the department
