Reporting into the Commercial Team, In the role as Commercial Analyst you will be quoting customers as well as maintaining the rate cards for existing and established lanes and services, to ensure they reflect accurate costs, including both carrier rates and operational costs. The Commercial Analyst will give training and support to the Sales Team as to how to use the rate card models and work with the Sales and Operations teams to create bespoke quotes for large or unusual customers.

The Commercial Analyst will work with the Sales and Marketing teams on customer tenders, assist the Head of commercial and commercial Managers in the bidding/tendering process and support the finance billing team with new customer rates and existing customer rate changes.

Your Tasks
- Proactively review customer margins notify Account Managers, the business when customers are making low or negative margins, give reasons why and make suggestions for improvement
- Create and provide reporting for the management team and any other ad hoc cost or commercial analysis as required
- Maintain/create tool/system (excel based)
- Evaluate and analyse opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements at the carrier, account and country level. Work with the Carrier Team to deliver annual targeted commercial goals
- Perform cost/benefit analysis for any proposed changes to carriers or operational flows and innovations as required

- Good IT skills, strong excel skills are a must!
- Excellent numeracy skills and reconciliation skills.

- Good written and verbal English communication skills,  ability to communicate issues/findings with non-finance based professionals
