In this position, you will be responsible to strategically develop and deliver the pricing strategy and ensure that the company margins are maintained and improved. You will also conduct in depth analysis of pricing and quotation methods to ensure that offerings are commercially viable and meet market and customer needs. The successful applicant will report to the Commercial Pricing Manager. This position is on a 6 month fixed term basis, covering maternity.
Your Tasks
- Assist the commercial analysts in analysing data and producing quotations for sales.
- Maintain and compile reporting statistics for management.
- Perform margin and pricing analysis in order to support business initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to optimise sales and profitability through pricing strategies.
- Validate sales quotations for accuracy and profitability.
- Monitor and update commercial price lists.
- Prepare and maintain multi-year cost and pricing models that may include labour, materials, subcontracts, travel and other relevant costs.
- Confer with Operations, Sales, and Marketing teams to develop proposals.
Your profile
- You have strong analytical skills, have sales support or business experience and are willing to learn.
- GCSE in Maths at Grade B or above
- Experience of using Microsoft Office and are at Intermediate/advanced level in excel
- A good level of written English and verbal communications skills
- You have good organisational skills, and therefore can manage time effectively to complete workloads and meet deadlines.
- You are able to work using your own initiative and have the ability to take instructions and relay information.
