This leading specialist in the design and manufacture of Mechanical Seals and Support Systems is looking to recruit a CNC Setter / Operator.
The successful candidate will work on their night shift pattern (10pm to 6am, Sunday to Thursday) and will machine components to the highest standard on CNC lathes and will provide exceptional customer service whilst striving to keep a clean and safe working environment. Principal Accountabilities:
- To manufacture components to specific drawings. This will predominantly be in stainless 316L but will also include Hastalloy A276, Super Duplex steel, Titanium and Ferralium
- Work to tight deadlines in a pressurised working environment to fulfill their corporate promise of exceptional customer service.
- Verifying and editing CAM programmes in order to ensure components are manufactured to the desired quality and efficiency standards.
- Interpret complex engineering drawings
- Perform quality checks as per the company procedures using measuring equipment and/or CMM
- Strictly adhere to safe working practices and highlight any potential hazards to relevant team leaders.
- Maintain a clean work area.
You will need to be qualified to NVQ Level 2 or above in engineering / manufacturing and have knowledge of engineering drawings and experience of using manual measuring equipment. It would be desirable for you to have served an engineering apprenticeship and have experience of CMM and fanuc controlled machines.
