This company is a leading wholesaler of organic and natural products to shops and businesses throughout the UK. They deliver a range of around 7000 vegetarian products, across ambient, chilled and frozen. They are also wholly employed owned and the largest equal pay organisation in Europe. They have a great opportunity to join the team at their London Greenford site in a driving role.
You will be undertaking 15 - 20 deliveries per day within the M25 as well as sometimes being out overnight for deliveries to the South Coast or Kent. Their vehicles range from 7.5t to 18t. Previous experience of London deliveries would be a distinct advantage. You will also need to have a digital tachograph card and an up to date CPC qualification to apply for this role. They prefer candidates to have no more than 3 points on their licence.
You will also need to have a good understanding of drivers hours legislation, and be used to undertaking daily vehicle checks, and dealing with issues as they arise.
You will need to be a confident communicator, as you will be the face of their business, dealing with customers on a daily basis. You will also need to be happy completing accurate paperwork, for return to the office.
They are particularly keen on candidates who already have an FLT licence so that they can help with loading and unloading of vehicles, although they may train the right candidate. They are also happy to hear about additional skills candidates may hold which would be useful to their business.
This is a temporary role initially fixed at 18 months, providing around 25 - 30 hrs per week. Working 3 days between Monday - Friday. There may well be opportunity for additional hours as available. They regularly provide the opportunity for the right candidates to move to a permanent full time position, more information provided at interview. Pay is £15.60 per hour, and you will benefit from an employee discount scheme and generous holiday entitlement.
