This company is the leading mattress in a box provider with a specialised team, working on disrupting the mattress industry with innovative product and service
They are currently seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join the growing senior team. The chosen candidate will be responsible for taking on a leadership role in financial decision-making and will provide strategic financial input to senior management.
While keenly overseeing the overall finance process and working closely with the Company’s CEO and FC, the successful CFO will play a key role in liaising with key stakeholders and investors, developing and maximising growth opportunities, as well as improving the financial health of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy
- Provide advice on how to increase revenue and reduce costs
- Effectively and clearly communicate potential risks in a timely manner
- Propose action plans to ensure that annual financial objectives are attained
- Manage direct and indirect reports (inc board meetings)
- Manage financial controls and accounting procedures
- Coordinate all tax documentation to maximise the Company’s position
- Communicate and manage relations with investors and shareholders
- Identify key areas of the business that have impact on profit and on cash flow
Skills & Experience:
- Professional accounting designation (FCA or FCCA)
- At least 10 years’ experience in a senior financial managerial position
- Advanced computer skills including proficiency financial reporting software
- Ideally experience with using Mac OSX
- Exceptional communication skills
- Results-focused, strategic thinker and planner
- Experience working in a fast-growing start-up company
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary of £60,000 - £80,000 depending on experience and working hours agreed.
