Role: Centre Director/Education figurehead within this Tuition Centre.

Location: Sevenoaks

Times: Working on site, in Sevenoaks, on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays - 10am - 8pm. Thursdays and Fridays will allow for work to be done remotely, where the candidate will develop and work on initiatives to grow the business.

Start Date: 4th September, 2017. Ideally, we will get the candidate to shadow the last few weeks of the summer term, as part of their training.

Salary: Approximately, £20-£25K basic plus a specified hourly rate for teaching of classes.

Details of the role:
This Tutoring service is seeking to appoint an education figurehead (Centre Director) to our new tuition centre, based in Sevenoaks. Whilst classes will operate from Mondays - Wednesdays, the successful candidate will be expected to take a hands-on approach to growing pupil numbers, in addition to their teaching and management duties. It is preferable for candidates to have, both, the ability and experience in teaching Maths and English to Primary-aged children. Teacher planning time is reduced substantially by the fact that the company have their own exclusive learning materials and a meticulous curriculum that is outlined already. This will allow the right candidate the necessary time to focus on delivering excellent classes, engaging with parents and creating advertising and marketing initiatives that will help to grow the business as quickly as possible. This role is a wonderful opportunity for an education person to grow their own mini-school. Their schools teach children (6-18 years of age) the core subjects of Maths, English and Science. The successful candidate will be supported by our two other successful centres in Rochester and Tunbridge Wells. The successful candidate will strive to:

1) Build pupil numbers, rapidly.
2) Conduct an introductory academic assessments for new pupils that are registered.
3) Assign new pupils to the most appropriate classes.
4) Teach Maths, English and Reasoning classes, as well as having a comprehensive understanding of the 11+.
5) Mark work in a detailed fashion.
6) Feedback to parents on pupil progress after each and every class.
7) Offer regular, well-informed advice to parents on selective school examinations, the 11+ process, schools in the local area and be on-hand to present regular assessment of a child's current progress.

Ideally, the right candidate will have paediatric first aid training. If not, then they should be willing to go on training in order to obtain this qualification. The candidate must have a full DBS certificate. There will be off-street parking within the new premises, at St. Luke's Church, in Sevenoaks town centre.
