This company is looking to recruit CDM Managers to cover projects across the UK to undertake the role of Health and Safety CDM Manager by implementing Site Safety Management Systems including Construction Phase Plans, reviews and approvals or risk assessments, method statements and conducting site audits.

To assist with the investigating and reporting of all near misses, incidents and accidents where required and to monitor site safety performance of all contractors while liaising directly with the client and other Duty Holders.
Coordinate and communicate all activities with their clients including Health and Safety statistics, safety observation reporting and daily meetings with the site supervisors
Complete daily safety inspections and attend Health and Safety meetings as and when required.

Key Responsibilities

Management
- Coordinate the work activities of contractors, comply with the directions given by the client, principal contractor and line manager
- Implement proven methods to correct poor safety behaviours and attitudes
- Manage contractors to work towards best practice, supporting them to ensure a safe method of working is always established
- Conduct safety meetings to a high standard
- Undertake incident investigations to a high standard including Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

People
- Responsible for managing yourself and your resource planner in line with business needs
- Closely monitor performance of all contractors on relevant sites and liaise with clients.
- Assist in the development of other team members of Hunter Group
- Work cooperatively with all team members including senior managers, clients and contractors to ensure good communication
- Conduct on-site training where necessary

Documentation
- Ensure compliance to CDM management system
- Update, review and create construction phase plans
- Implement, review or approve risk assessments methods statements for site works
- Develop the management system, inputting fresh ideas
- Construct and present site inductions and tool box talks

Personal
- Has the flexibility and willing to adapt to an ever changing and demanding environment
- Able to communicate at all levels
- To be highly organised and capable of managing own time
- Problem solving problems through analysis and provide options and resolutions
- Excellent computer skills and attention to detail necessary for report writing

Qualifications/Training:

o NEBOSH General - Essential
o NEBOSH construction - desirable
o NEBOSH Diploma - desirable
o First Aid Trained - desirable
o Understanding of construction and manufacturing industries - Essential
