This is an opportunity for a Cashier / Accounts Assistant to join a busy finance department within a successful business.
The company are a leading UK supplier of pumps with a track record of year on year growth achieved by a loyal workforce in excess of 80 people over four sites in the UK with a turnover of c.£15m.
During the last seven years they have made a number of acquisitions which has significantly increased the work of the finance team in both volume and complexity.
The Position.
They are currently seeking a candidate with good accounts experience to perform a variety of tasks within their accounts team comprising of seven members.
Reporting to the Accounts Manager, your core responsibilities would include:
- Coding and posting of multi-currency cashbooks.
- Full monthly reconciliation of all bank accounts.
- BACS and Multi-currency international payments via an online banking system.
- Maintenance of Fixed Asset register including monthly depreciation postings.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Duty and Vat deferment account posting.
- Company car lease schedule.
- Journal posting.
- Agreement of Intercompany balances.
- Providing backup cover on other tasks within the team.
- Ad hoc duties as required.
The Candidate.
You should be bright and confident with good passes in GCSE or equivalent including Mathematics and English. The ability to prioritise and work well under pressure.
Be a pro-active team member with keen attention to detail and a good problem solving ability.
They are currently based in West London (W13), adjacent to Northfields Underground Station in Ealing but are looking to relocate within the M4 corridor somewhere between their current location and slough in approximately 12-15 months time.
