They have a strong track record of successfully delivering government funded initiatives and contracts, providing advice and support services to young people and adults in the Yorkshire and Humber area. Their Shine Careers Service work with over 30 schools and colleges in the region providing professionally qualified Careers Advisers, delivering a range of guidance services including personal career guidance, careers events and classroom activities and consultation for Careers Leaders.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the successful applicant to become fully qualified as a career guidance professional. The job role includes funding to enable someone with a Level 4 IAG qualification to undertake full training toward the L6 Diploma in Career Guidance & Development.

The primary objective of this role is to provide careers information, advice and guidance to young people in pre and post 16 education and learning settings in Leeds and Bradford in line with service level agreements, as part of the Shine Enhanced Careers Guidance programme.

They are looking for Advisers who are excellent communicators, able to engage with young people and adept at building strong working relationships in their respective settings.

You are passionate about personal guidance and demonstrate a professional approach to providing IAG.
You have experience of providing inspirational classroom-based careers advice activities and face to face personal guidance support.

You are confident about working on your own initiative and able to utilise online and offline careers resources and organise your own workloads effectively and efficiently.

The role is part-time, up to 3 days per week, salary pro rata, FTE £24,603.

In return for your commitment we provide full Level 6 training, as well as support, advice and resources to help you in your work with Shine school and college customers. They also provide access to continuing professional development and networking opportunities.

You will need to be able to travel to school locations in Leeds and Bradford.
