This domiciliary care company based within Gateshead, is currently looking for a team of care workers due to continued development and expansion. As a home care worker, your role will involve helping vulnerable adults of all ages within their own homes and out into the community. This role involves you making a difference to the lives of people who require a bit extra support giving you a feeling of gratitude and satisfaction that not many jobs can match.
Your Role:
- Your role as a care worker will be to assist their clients within their own home and out into society.
- The role will involve traveling to and from client’s homes to carry out agreed and daily tasks agreed.
- Your role will involve keeping the client’s dignity and helping them maintain their independence as much as possible.
- Carers may also be expected to assist clients out in the community, such as with shopping or social events such as the cinema, theatre etc.
- Your role will involve personal elements of care as well as domestic support, however, you are also there as a friend and companion to their clients, building up an excellent relationship with them.
Requirements for the role:
- Full UK Driving Licence is required – due to the nature of Domiciliary care and having to travel between clients homes a car is essential.
- Well organised and able to time manage effectively
- Flexible and reliable
- Able to use your own initiative and good communication skills are essential.
- Must have a caring and compassionate personality.

We also offer a 7days on / 7 days off available
Full Time - Monday to Friday + Alternate Weekends
Part time Morning positions or Evening Positons available + Alternate weekends
