This company is a market leading manufacturer of bespoke laminated washroom cubicles and furniture products. They are currently looking for a new Design Technician to bolster their existing team and help them in their development journey.
The responsibilities of the role include the following:
- Produce fabrication drawings to meet with company product guidelines.
- Liaise with internal and external customers to obtain required information in a timely manner
- Produce specification elevation drawings using SolidWorks - Hardware drawings for export.
- Issue fabrications drawings to the client for comments and approval and also pass to production team for manufacture
- Amend drawings to reflect clients' alterations and re-issue for approval.
- Attend Site meetings if required.
- Maintain the project file, documents and correspondence and ensure full history of project is available
- Liaise with Line Manager, Production Planning and Site Management to ensure latest drawings are checked with manufacturing documents.
- Obtain written confirmation from client to enable manufacture to commence.
- Create special fittings drawings.
The successful candidate is likely to have;
- Strong CAD skills, either with AutoCad LT or Revit.
- Strong Microsoft Office software capability.
- Eye for detail.
- An ability to conceptualise 3D items from 2D drawings.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to produce professional looking documents suitable for client presentation.
- Personable attitude and friendly manner.
Working hours - Mon-Thursday 07:30 - 16.30 and Friday 07:30 - 15.30
