This digital marketing experts within the legal sector is looking to recruit a Business Development Manager.

Reporting to the Head of Sales your role will be a mixture of lead follow up, online demonstrations and possible appointments with Rich in client’s offices. In addition, you will be expected to follow up your own portfolio of prospective clients post demo or meetings.

The role will be selling the full range of products i.e. website, digital marketing, client satisfaction survey tool (Law League) and consultancy services such as compliance, support & CRM (via our Symphony Legal brand) primarily to law firms, but including accountants, IFAs and any other sector that we may enter.

The successful candidate will have an up to date and forward thinking approach to business development knowledge and the desire to close business on a regular basis.

Main Responsibilities
- Creating opportunities from existing and prospective clients
- Giving online demonstrations for prospective clients.
- Visiting the offices of prospective clients to deliver presentations or to follow up online demonstrations with Rich if required.
- Establishing an understanding of the prospect's strategy with respect to their website and or digital requirements
- Acquiring detailed information pertaining to the prospects existing website or marketing agency provider.
- Preparing detailed accurate proposals and responding to RFPs
- Making follow-up phone calls after online demonstrations and meetings.
- Working towards an achievable individual and team target
- Attending trade shows, exhibitions and conferences to support sales & marketing activities.

Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and understanding of the legal industry
- Must be familiar with Microsoft Windows/MS Office/Email/Internet.
- Digital marketing trends e.g. social media, SEO, PPC and AI
- Excellent phone manner & be very happy dealing with people on the phone.
- Happy making outbound calls to follow up sales leads in the order of 10+ calls on some days
- Self motivation and a desire to learn in an ever changing market
- Ability to prospect/generate your own leads when required.
- Full driving license (max 3 points).
- Overcoming objections and ability to milk our own cows

Desirable Skills
- Browser/Mac/PC based CRM system
- An understanding of the legal market and services provided by lawyers/solicitors and barrister
- A key interest in Internet technologies and digital marketing techniques

Other Details
- Base salary + car allowance + commission (c. £50,000 OTE)
- Contributory pension scheme
- Monday to Friday.
- 37.5 hours per week
- 9.00am to 5:30pm.
- Anticipated the Monday/Friday are office based demo/admin days, Tuesday - Thursday could be out on the road, - but usually only 1-2 days travel per week
- 25 days annual leave plus 8 statutory holidays.
- Holidays should not overlap with the Head of Sales whenever possible (apart from Christmas).
