This company has exciting opportunity for an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to join their UK team.

The candidate will play an essential role within the team and be fully supported to meet the main objective for the role of achieving an agreed sales target.

The sales target will be based on nominated accounts within the sector, incorporating the full portfolio of products i.e. Overhead Lines and Electrified Railway Components. The position reports into the Directors.

As an experienced Sales Manager with a sound technical knowledge, the candidate will develop and manage a defined number of existing key accounts and prospective accounts plus develop the company strategy for the defined segment.

Key Responsibilities
- To work as a team player within the company to ensure customer satisfaction, retention, growth and create demand for their products.
- To increase the brand awareness of the product portfolio amongst specifiers, contractors, rail depots and existing client base.
- To maintain regular contact with DNOs, specifiers, contractors and buyers of materials
- Develop and operate a sales/strategy plan for the rail sector demonstrating effective management of time and the company resources.
- Identify, generate, follow up and develop new business opportunities within the Rail sector.
- Maximize revenue, profitability and customer growth with an aim to build strong relationships based on trust and partnerships.
- Own and co-ordinate customer issues, taking appropriate action to solve problems and minimise customer disruptions.
- Develop and increase customer spends on existing accounts, delivering profitable- measurable growth.
- Launch new products and facilitate their introduction/approval.
- Produce reports on time to ensure effective internal and external communication
- Attend training courses/trade shows as and when required.
- Utilise CRM to manage and maintain company records and customer database.

Keys Skills and Experience

- Good understanding of Railway Electrification.
- 3-5 years experience visiting OHL Catenary contractors
- Proven track record in technical sales
- HNC qualified in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Health & Safety qualification or accredited training.
- Full & Clean Driving Licence

Additional Requirements

- Geographically this a National role
- Flexible and willing to work outside of normal hours on occasion
- On occasion be able to travel overseas as necessary

Package/Remuneration

- Full Time Position (37 Hours per week)
- Flexible hours – self managed.
- Annual Salary based upon a Basic Salary (negotiable depending on experience) + OTE bonus
- 25 Days Holiday
- Company vehicle
