Reports to: Board
Hours: Permanent position, 40 hours per week, 0830-1700 Mon-Fri
Holiday: 28 days including public holidays
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 negotiable depending upon experience, plus performance related bonus OTE £65,000

This company is a start-up supplier of plant hire equipment based in the North West.

Position overview
The position of Plant Hire Business Development Manager is a full time role, with full responsibility for the growth of the business. The business is a new start-up, funded by a small group of investors, who will also have an active role in providing direction and vision to the company.

You will have extensive industry knowledge, and be responsible for building the business up from the ground to a successful and profitable enterprise. You will be working alone initially, as it is a start-up business, so need to be a self-starter.

Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Sales in the Construction or Plant Hire industry
- Proven delivered business growth in this industry

Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and grow a customer database, ensuring customer satisfaction and strong rapport
- Work closely with the marketing department to direct and support marketing campaigns to your sector, and develop and maintain sales and promotional materials
- Prepare sales action plans and schedules, to include a significant volume of F2F prospect appointments
- Develop and make presentations of company products and services to current and potential clients
- Maintain sales activity records and reports
- Respond to sales enquiries and concerns by phone, electronically or in person
- Ensure customer service satisfaction and good client relationships, resolving any issues on site as needed.
- Track performance and report to the board as required on team activities, goals and achievement
- Target and goal setting, KPIs
- Identify and implement continuous system improvements to increase efficiencies
- Control cost of sales and overhead expenses to deliver well within budget.
