We're sorry, you can no longer apply for this job.

This is a very special opportunity, one that doesn't come along too often. This company is a UK manufacturer of wheelchairs for the NHS and overseas markets (including China!). All of their sales (and they have about 40,000 chairs in daily use) come from hospital introductions.

They need to better manage this process of securing new orders, keeping their existing customers abreast of new products, servicing existing customer needs and seeking new business from hospitals that currently don't use them with sufficient frequency. They also need to secure new orders from nursing homes and private customers and generally increasing their market share.

The job will need an understanding of wheelchairs and wheelchair users needs.

The successful applicant will therefore need to be empathetic and tolerant and they may face some trying challenges with people who are very much in need of help. There may be a need to adjust wheelchairs so an ability with a screwdriver and spanner will be a distinct advantage.

Simply put the successful candidate will be responsible for
- Building an area
- Building up a regular visit plan to meet hospital wheelchair departments
- Building relationships with the practitioners in each wheelchair service
- Identifying all nursing homes and dealers within the allotted area
- Delivering and handing over wheelchairs.

The job will offer a small company van, mobile phone, laptop etc. Their head office and manufacturing centre is in Middlesbrough where you will be expected to visit on occasion.

This is an opportunity to start a business, earn a basic salary with huge potential to earn much much more, learn a new skill set, get full training in a growing industry where your personal worth can only increase. In return you will have to be prepared to get out of bed Monday to Friday and work without supervision and unchecked most of the time, plan your own diary and work schedule and generally be your own boss - within limits.

So if this sounds like a role that you can develop and make your own, click on apply now and send them your CV. Please include a small paragraph as to why you think you might have just the skills that they are looking for and why they should invest in you for this role.

They are an equal opportunities employer and will consider candidates of any age as life experience is probably more important but not someone who has had lots of jobs in a short space of time and been successful at none.

The base salary is £27k - £30k. OTE in the first year for a good applicant would be £40k

There are two positions available, one in the midlands and one in the south of the UK.
