This company are growing retail technology company offering innovative B2B Customer Experience, merchandising & data gathering systems.
They work primarily with retail,global high street brands, UK & Europe, but also have clients in: logistics, health, local government, education, designers.

They are looking for an experienced & ambitious Retail Development Executive to join their expanding team. The role demands a hard-working salesperson, good commercial acumen, a drive to succeed.
Long-term client relationships are key to our success. A drive to exceed your sales targets will be matched by a desire to create long/trustful relationships with clients, consulting with them to understand their business & achieve their commercial goals.

You will possess the focus/discipline to work equally effectively in the field, from your desk, & be prepared to put in extra hours needed to meet deadlines.

About You:
You will have at least 5 years B2B sales experience, ideally within Retail technology.

Skills/Experience you will have:
- Lead generation:Commercial understanding, knowledge of your target markets & a talent for opportunity spotting.
- Creating/developing relationships: A strong ability to build rapport & a full-on enthusiasm for making fresh contacts & capitalising on these with new sales opportunities. Events, networking, social networking, emailing, cold calling are all core requirements & you must be comfortable and competent in these disciplines
Field sales:Face-to-face appointments will form a significant part of the role, both for new business conversion & existing accounts.

Candidates will be scored on personal presentation & first impression credibility.
Correspondence:Writing prospecting letters & emails, responding to tenders & RFPs. A good standard of written & spoken English is essential.
Proposition development:Listening to & understanding your customer.
Negotiation:Defining the commercial terms of solution & sales agreements.
Pipeline:Managing your own sales pipeline & providing written & verbal feedback on all accounts.
Drive:The energy & ambition to succeed. The courage to take risks when required, persistence to pursue all opportunities & spirit to bounce back from disappointment.
Organisation:You will need to be organised, the master of multi-tasking & maintain multiple conversations, internally and externally, as you move opportunities with different clients, for different solutions, in different sectors, towards sales close/invoice.
Technology:They provide tech solutions & you must possess a level of technology proficiency that allows you to sell system benefits with confidence & understand how these will benefit the client.
