The Company
Exciting opportunity for the right person to join a strong and enthusiastic team of 15 in Stanhope, Weardale. This company is a fast growing business specialising in licensed gifts and merchandise. As well as managing 50+ major ecommerce sites for brands such as the Premier League, Disney, Marvel and Star Wars, the business runs a number of in-store personalisation experiences.

The role will be based in the Stanhope office (DL13). Travel to licensor locations (primarily in the UK, but occasionally abroad) will be involved, as well as some time to be spent in their Macclesfield office.

The Role
The core aim of the role is to increase revenue by engaging with licensors (primarily football clubs but other significant brands as well). By working closely with licensors, the candidate will increase sales / traffic to the licensor websites that we run - for example LUFC Personalised Gifts. The candidate will work with the licensors to run promotions of various sorts that ultimately drives more sales. The candidate will be expected to be innovative and creative when exploring possible marketing opportunities and will work with other area managers when opportunities overlap.

The role will involve also contract renewal negotiation with licensors, as well as maintaining excellent relationships and ensuring licensors are satisfied with their services.

The candidate’s performance will be determined by KPIs focussed on order volumes / value and revenue achieved by each website / license.

Essential Skills
- Experience of marketing / business development
- Commercial focus and drive
- Communication with management, licensors, team members etc.
- Strong selling skills
- Independent problem solving
- IT

Background / Previous Employment
- A background in sales / retail / digital marketing or any role that involves leading business development with clear commercial KPIs would demonstrate suitability for this role.
- Any previous role that demonstrates marketing flare and vision, coupled with strong problem solving skills would give an advantage to any candidate considering applying. -
This role is largely autonomous, so roles that have seen candidates operate independently with clear ownership, will give a clear advantage to an application. -
Communication and relationship building skills are imperative and the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate significant strength in this area. As the majority of licensors are football clubs, an understanding of football would be advantageous, but is not essential.

Interview Process
You will be asked to review a key licensor website and create a development plan for delivery in partnership with that licensor.

Hours - Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm with additional hours during busy periods. Some weekend work may be necessary from time to time.

Salary - on application, based on experience. Heavily incentivised role based on performance with excellent bonuses available.
