Their most popular training subject areas are Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, Mindfulness & Wellbeing, Management & Leadership, Customer Service and Sales. Customers include Volvo, GoCompare, IKEA, English National Ballet, Hitachi Rail, Severn Trent, Gucci and Virgin Media.

To help them grow and expand the business they are looking for a hard-working, shining-star of a Business Development and Events Manager to join the team. In a nutshell, the role will be to organise memorable Learning Events that create new business leads and raise awareness of the brand amongst HR and training professionals across the UK, and eventually, beyond.

Based in Moseley, Birmingham, life at this company is fast-paced but with a supportive family-business vibe. Main Duties

- Work closely with the Directors and subject area specialists to create innovative, ’wow’ event concepts that showcase the types of training they design and deliver
- Handpick and engage with training-budget-holders and senior decision makers through pro-active networking, face-to-face meetings, telephone or email to build a pipeline of new business opportunities
- Work closely with their creative city-centre-based Marketing Agency on e-marketing campaigns, press releases and social posts to generate interest in their services, and a buzz around each event
- Manage the delegate experience from initial contact to post-event communications to ensure a memorable learning experience that results in new business leads
- Successfully manage a modest budget through commercial savviness and creative problem-solving
- Collect and review feedback to continually improve rate of success
- Pro-actively nurture relationships into qualified leads
- Stay at the cutting edge of Learning & Development to proactively contribute new ideas
