This company is a subsidiary of a leading provider of transportation, utility and telecom expense management and related business intelligence services, disbursing $40 billion annually on behalf of its customers.
They are seeking a Telecom Procurement Analyst who will work as part of the Analyst team in their new Basingstoke, U.K. office. The individual in this position is responsible for the auditing and analysis of customers' European telecoms billing, including mobile, voice and data communications.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work with the Global Sourcing Manager to prepare and analyse RFPs and tenders on behalf of customers.
- Perform in-depth analysis to support procurement activities.
- Audit carrier invoices and billing data for refunds, optimisation and cost avoidance opportunities.
- Interface directly with customers and carriers as necessary to acquire portal logins, vendor contracts, client business needs and requirements.
- Set up and manage circuit inventory and reporting to customers.
Skills and Attributes Required:
- High level of numeracy and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office products, in particular Excel.
- An understanding of telecom carrier billing and tariff structures, telecom contracts, and mobile telecom pricing.
- Attention to detail required. Must be able to organise and handle several tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
- A degree in maths, computer science, economics or other numerical subject.
- Three years of experience in an analyst, procurement or billing role with a mobile, voice or data services carrier is preferred.
