This is an opportunity to join a technology company, helping new and established businesses to operate in the energy market. They are a disruptive business, bringing new entrants to a market that has historically, been dominated by a small number of major players. But, things are changing - and this business is at the forefront of that change.

Their culture is friendly, supportive and good natured. They work hard and in an agile way, with changes coming quickly and with minimal disruption. It’s an open plan office, so the person you need to speak to is right there, which means no need for conference calls or lots of formal meetings. They are enthusiastic, positive and believe everything is solvable one way or another, and they value that trait in any potential new hires.

They continue to shake up the energy market and are one of the Times Top 100 fastest growing tech firms in the UK. They have moved from 60 employees to 140 in eighteen months, and that growth will continue throughout 2019.

And what about their BA's?

Their BA’s are agile. They can adapt from project to project. It is a hands on, roll your sleeves up kind of job. Here, a BA will understand and engineer client requirements into meaningful artefacts and specifications. They are massively delivery focused, implementing and configuring software solutions through early client engagement.

In short then, BA’s are critical to their operation. They are respected and fully utilised within the business. The job variety, project variety and range of people contacts makes this particular role one of the most involved and interesting in the company and by extension, the energy industry.

What skills and experience do you need for this job?

- You must be a current and experienced BA.
- You must have experience of working in organisations that provide ‘Software as a Service’ or software solutions.
- Ideally you will have worked with new market entrants with a ‘disruptive/challenger’ mentality.
- A nice to have, is knowledge of the utilities sector, e.g. pricing, billing, smart metering etc.

Other information

These roles could include occasional travel throughout the UK.

What is it like to work here?

It’s probably best if they let their employees tell you:
‘It’s fun’. ‘It’s a proper team’. ‘Fast paced’. ‘No red tape’. ‘You can make things happen’. ‘There is a drinks fridge!’. ‘Everyone knows everyone’. ‘Professional but informal’. ‘There is free food!’. ‘Great city centre location’. ‘There are loads of opportunities to do more than your normal job’. ‘It’s non-corporate’. ‘Everyone gets a day off on their birthday!’
