This company is looking for a Business Analyst to join its expanding Energy business based in Nottingham.

The successful candidate must have current and relevant experience working as a Business Analyst, ideally (but not necessarily) within the utilities industry and will offer solutions and improvements to the business through effective collaboration with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. This will include designing process improvements, process documentation, requirements engineering and more.

Reporting to the Principal Analyst, the BA role responsibilities will include:

- Developing a deep knowledge of the company software products and solutions
- Understand and engineer Client requirements into meaningful artefacts/specifications
- Deliver/implement/configure software solutions accordingly to ensure that needs of the business are met and where possible exceeded
- Analysis delivery throughout design, build, test, UAT, support and go live etc. – the full development lifecycle
- Troubleshoot/problem-solve risks and issues which could impact project deliverables

Essential Skills and Experience
- Sound Business and commercial awareness as the basis for an ability to interpret and make relevant business recommendations from the results of complex analysis
- Ideally formed in the energy industry.
- Strong requirements engineering experience with business specifications and process mapping (As-Is & To-Be) being second nature
- Excellent communication skills to engage stakeholders through workshops, 1-2-1s and more
- Gain client agreement to solution and acceptance criteria
- Strong experience in writing business requirements specifications and drawing up process maps (i.e. MS Visio, Aris etc)
- Demonstrable customer centric thinking to ensure solutions help improve customer experience
- Experience gained through a diverse range of business & IT change, and specifically, system integration projects

Desired Skills
- Experience of working in organisations that provide ‘Software as a Service’ solutions
- Experience of working with new market entrants with a ‘disruptive/challenger’ mentality
- Knowledge of the Residential Energy sector e.g. pricing, billing, TPI/Broker ways of working, Smart Metering, Change of Tenancy, Sales and Renewals etc.

Other information

- These roles could include occasional travel throughout the UK.
- These roles will be based out of our Nottingham or Manchester offices.
