A full-time lecturer in Business Analysis is required by one of the UK’s leading private universities to teach business analysis at degree-level and business analysis related modules for apprenticeship programmes. Course delivery is primarily online with some travel to London and Manchester for some classroom teaching. The role pays a competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 p.a.

Applications are particularly sought from practising Business Analysts with demonstrable motivation for sharing knowledge including techniques, methods, tools and practice. Candidates should have excellent communication skills and written skills with preferably some experience of teaching/lecturing using on-line learning platforms.

Successful Candidates would be expected to create high quality engaging learning materials across levels 3-6. Initially the role will concentrate on development and then move on to a combination of development, enhancement and delivery. Lecturers have a wide variety of duties including; module leadership, managing cohorts of students; teaching – primarily online but also face to face.

Students will be assisted to:

- Examine the importance to organisations of the role(s) of the business analyst and the practice of business analysis
- Compare and contrast BA roles alongside associated disciplines e.g. Systems analysis, architecture etc.
- Distinguish between the key stages of business analysis in a range of contexts
- Critically compare and contrast the processes, models, techniques and skills utilised within business analysis in particular with reference to Agile development methodologies
- Construct and document key BA artefacts with reference to a range of business problems

You must have:

- Significant practical experience as a business analyst in a variety of different businesses or organisations.
- Experience of practicing business analysis techniques using a range of tools and techniques
- Significant experience of producing business reports and documentation
- A degree and relevant professional qualifications
- Either hold, or be committed to achieving, a relevant teaching qualification (e.g. Fellowship of the HEA)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and confidence in the use of IT to deliver engaging online lectures
- A strong student-centric focus as well as a commercial and educational focus
- Excellent planning, prioritisation and organisational skills
