Building Surveyor / Architectural Technician required to join a well-established multi-disciplinary Building Surveying, Structural Engineering and Architecture Practice in Potters Bar Hertfordshire. Their successful company has seen continued growth in business and now has vacancies for two full time permanent positions.
Salary £24, 000 pa to £32,000 pa depends on experience and qualifications. Plus benefits.
Duties
- Full Measured Building Surveys
- Contract admin / project based work in schedule of conditions, party wall and building surveys
Space Planning/ layout plans
- General construction drawings for new builds, refurbishments and extensions
- Producing written NBS specifications, desirable but not essential
- Production of 2/3D construction drawings
- Production of detailed sections/elevations
Responsibilities
- Provide professional Building Surveyor services to a variety of clients
- Responsibility for producing and checking drawings and issuing them to clients
Requirements for the Building Surveyor/ Architectural Assistant
- Ideally you will have a qualification in Building Surveying /Architectural Design, CAD, Architectural Technology or Construction
- Working towards professional membership of either the RICS or RIBA
- Building Surveying experience 2 years +
- Excellent standard and experience using CAD 2 + years experience essential
- Sound working knowledge and experience with Revitt desirable.
- Relevant knowledge of Health and Safety and CDM regulations.
- Good understanding of basic law and legal contracts / agreements.
- Ability to communicate with people in a co-operative and persuasive manner
- Accepts personal accountability and has a 'can do' approach *
