This company is an industry leading specialist in smoke and natural ventilation solutions and are excited to be recruiting a Building Services Design Engineer to join their team. This role would suit an existing Mechanical/Building Services Design Engineer who is experienced working with and understanding Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) modelling within the ventilation industry.

Educated to degree level or equivalent in Mechanical/Building Services Engineering, or with relevant industry experience, you will bring with you a wealth of knowledge from a similar role to aid in the preparation of engineered designs and specifications for building engineering services, particularly smoke and environmental ventilation applications.

As part of your role, responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Assisting project managers and engineers with design and delivery of fire and environmental engineered projects.
- Carrying out CFD modelling in addition to developing and managing resources to support the design process.
- Providing technical support to the company’s installation and commissioning teams, and contributing to development of new products, services and control strategies.
- Attending design team meetings with architects, consultants and building control authorities when necessary, to review design and demonstrate equipment and systems function.
- Managing changes to specification revisions.
- Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, new developments, technologies, materials and industry relevant legislation.

The successful candidate will ideally have the following demonstrable skills and experience in addition to the above:
- Proven experience working in ventilation including design & modelling
- Basic knowledge of fire safety standards and regulations
- Experienced in Fire Engineering
- Understanding of technical construction drawings
- Ability to use AutoCAD, Revit and BIM tools.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal at all levels
- Highly numerate
- Conversant in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel

This role will be based within our offices in Fradley, Lichfield however there will be occasionally a requirement to travel within the UK for site visits.
