This company is looking to recruit a Bookkeeper / Administration Assistant.

The role of the above is detailed as follows but not limited to

Bookkeeping;

- Sage 50, Sage Payroll
- Credit Control - chasing for accounts by phone, email, letter and court action if necessary
- Microsoft Office – to include Excel intermediate, Word intermediate, Outlook / Cloud 365 emails
- All aspects of accounts to trial balance including:
- Sales Invoicing, receipts, reconciliations
- Purchase Invoicing, matching to purchase orders, paying suppliers,reconciliations•
- Bank Reconciliations, matching to bank statements and reconciliation of control accounts
- Depreciation, Accruals, Prepayments, Asset Register
- Reconciliation to trial balance, producing P&L and TB reports
- Working to tight deadlines
- VAT Control, liaising with HMRC, paying VAT on time
- All aspects of payroll to year end reconciliation including:
- New Starters - checking ID's, right to work in the UK, Checking references
- Running payroll, accurately and on time, Paying HMRC on time
- Leavers - ensuring payments are correct and issuing P45
- E Submissions, checking notices and legislation

Various Software packages including:

- Sage Accounts 50
- Sage Payroll
- Creating/ designing reports for management analysis
- Banking duties
- Pensions Auto- enrolment payments through Sage

PA Duties

- Personnel duties to include maintaining and reviewing staff files
- Assisting in salary reviews and preparation of personnel letters
- Manage engineers time sheets, filing, review time sheet analysis,
- Develop new project costing system and manage the roll out of the costing system with engineers. Training of the relevant engineers in use of system.
- Assist in marketing/ sales development
- Reception - meet and greet customer/supplier with associated duties
- Purchasing of stationary
- Director – administration of private accounts and records
- Manage calibration of test equipment records
- Assist/manage quality management systems
- Diary management

Personal Qualities

- Must have a willingness to work in an all male environment and team work attitude
- Flexible approach to work that may not be covered above
- The role as detailed above has been viewed as being carried out in approx. 30-40 hours per week – it may be necessary to work additional hours, however notice will given.
- Must have a ‘will do’ attitude towards work.
