Grant Writer.

This company assists schools, charities and other community-focused organisations to access a range of grant funding for projects that will improve the lives of disadvantaged groups of people.

They are looking for an experienced Grant Writer or someone who can demonstrate that they will rapidly acquire the skills needed to write effective bids for grant funds.

Your role
You will take on a portfolio of clients.
Through online research and talking to clients, you will gain an in depth understanding of the specific problems or issues they want to address through their funded projects.
You will write compelling and convincing funding bids on behalf of your clients.
You will guide your clients through the application process and deal with any queries they have about the process or their interactions with the grant awarding authority.
You will be proactive in identifying and assessing new streams of funding for clients.

- Highly skilled communicator
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality control
- Able to work on multiple assignments at once
- Ability to manage priorities, plan and meet deadlines
- Ability to write clearly and convincingly
- Great telephone manner
- An interest in education, public health, child development and social issues is desirable
- Proficient in MS Office packages

Where and when you will work
They are based in Cornwall. The role is full-time, however part-time and freelance options may be available to candidates with exceptional skills or experience.
