They have 2 exciting opportunities for Behavioural Change and Recycling Officers on a temporary basis up until 31st March 2018. The key responsibility is to promote waste reduction and recycling within their multi-storey flats, retirement schemes and other properties with shared waste facilities to assist with changes to waste collection arrangements.
The roles involves working with residents to increase knowledge and encourage participation in recycling to reduce the amount of residual waste and costs to the organisation. Therefore, you must be an excellent communicator who has the ability to persuade and motivate people to overcome reluctance or resistance to changing lifestyles and behaviour
Having a positive friendly personality will help in delivering advice and guidance to residents, to enable them to increase recycling and by organising events and open days for residents and tenant groups you will be able to influence and raise awareness of the impact of changes to communal waste collections, and generate ideas on how residents can increase recycling rates.
